Jean Yves Hector was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Jean Yves Hector’s paintings deal with a variety of subjects such as family, religion, spirituality, identity and social issues. His paintings reflect different styles: Ecole de la beaute, cubism, and scenery of the countryside. He had his first exhibition in 2015 at the Haitian American Museum of Chicago (HAMOC).
