Sketch drawing of Francois Mackandal (c.1730-1758), a Haitian maroon and spiritual leader in the French colony of Saint-Domingue (present day Haiti). He is sometimes labeled as a Haitian vodou priest.

This is one of my favorite picture in this collection. These are my cousins, my uncle’s children, who both fight like cat and dog, but they are inseparable and truly love one another.
