Part 2 of the mini hair series. My older sister is pictured here doing our other cousin’s hair. Hair styling is a deep and intricate bonding moment across the entire diaspora, and it’s always a magical experience, especially with family.

This picture was part 1 of a mini hair series. Pictured here is my baby cousin, a young girl who takes her haircare very seriously, as she believes that a woman’s hair tells you everything you need to know about her.

A lot of the homes I came across during this project took my breath away. Haiti has its own unique architecture, and the houses are always so bright and full of personality.
