Features men in military uniform surrounding a man with a machete. There are trees in the background. Written in French on the bottom: Recontre De Toussaint et Dessalines An Morne Pele Apies La Guerre. The painting depicts the meeting of Toussaint and Dessalines at Morne Pele after the battle (1793). Included in La Peinture Haitienne a la recontre de l’Image d’Epinal. Exposition Du 4 Au 20 Decembre 1992. This painting is included in the exhibition catalog, page 6. Along with a photo of the artist.
