In all cultures of the world, children are considered to be one of life’s greatest blessings. In Haiti, where blessings can sometimes be scarce, this is especially true.
This exhibition of paintings, drawn from the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ Haitian Collection, celebrates the joy of childhood and the joy that children bring to our lives as we rediscover and experience the world through their eyes. The exhibit also reflects universal childhood themes of family, play and learning while recognizing the critical role that children play as the conduit for our hopes and dreams for the future.
