Art School Jerry was founded by Charles Davidson (aka Charles Art Jerry) in June 2016 to educate children in his neighborhood about art and their cultural heritage. Starting with seven students, Charles taught drawing, painting, and sculpture, while fostering pride in their community.

This free art school aimed to educate children in his neighborhood about art and their cultural heritage, providing them with a constructive outlet. He started with just seven students, and by 2019, he was able to teach 30 children. The pandemic and political instability forced him to temporarily close the art school for safety reasons. He is now in the process of gradually reopening and currently working with 16 students. As the country continues to heal, he looks forward to welcoming even more students in 2025.
